DayDestinationDescription
Day 1USAUSA : Depart New York area airport or your selected departure city; enjoy dinner and breakfast served aboard the overnight flight.
Day 2LourdesLourdes : Arrive in Lourdes. Upon arrival, we will be met by our tour escort/guide and private motor coach for transfer to our hotel in Lourdes. Balance of the day at leisure to rest or take time to visit the Grotto where Our Lady appeared to St. Bernadette. In the early evening, a Mass just for our group will take place in a small chapel at the Shrine. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3LourdesLourdes : This morning we join in the opening Mass of the International Pilgrimage. In the afternoon, participate in an orientation walking tour of the Shrine, including the three basilicas. We will attend the first talk "Me, A Saint' Everyday Holiness I" After dinner we may wish to participate in the International Rosary and Candlelight Procession. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4LourdesLourdes : This morning's Mass will include the Worldwide Assumptionist Family. Following Mass, take part in a walking tour of Lourdes, "The Footsteps of St. Bernadette", which includes visits to the Boly Mills where St. Bernadette was born; the Local Mill, residence of her parents; the "Cachot," formerly used as a jail where she lived at the time of the Apparitions; the Chapel where St. Bernadette received her First Holy Communion; and the Parish church containing the Baptismal Font where she was baptized. We will also attend the second talk "Faith and Forgiveness by Ms Ilibagiza Immaculee : Contemporary Stations of the Cross. Once again, we may wish to join the Rosary Candlelight Procession. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5LourdesLourdes : After breakfast, participate in the International Reconciliation Mass in one of the local chapels. Some free time this afternoon for personal meditation, devotion or relaxation. We also attend the third talk Faith and Forgiveness by Ms Ilibagiza Immaculee. Tonight, after dinner at our hotel, the Assumptionist Family will hold their Candlelight Procession to which all are invited. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6LourdesLourdes : An International Mass for all pilgrims will be celebrated this morning, the Feast of the Assumption. The entire day is dedicated to Our Lady. We will participate in the closing ceremonies including Eucharistic procession. We may have some free time to stroll in this quaint village, explore their shops, or just stroll and reflect on the day's ceremonies. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7Biarritz-St. Jean de LuzLourdes/Biarritz-St. Jean de Luz : Depart for full day excursion to Biarritz and Saint Jean de Luz. Biarritz located on the Bay of Biscay in Basque country boasting a spectacular coastline and beautiful panoramic views. Visit St. Martin's Church; view the Virgin on the rock and other sites in this resort city before continuing on to Saint Jean de Luz. A beautiful seaside resort and active fishing port not far from the Spanish border, Saint Jean de Luz is a cosmopolitan town with a medieval background. Its Moorish influence is reflected in the mixture of architecture, old World charm, old buildings, fishing port and narrow lanes. All in all, it is like a revisit to the middle Ages. We will celebrate mass in Saint Jean de Luz before we start our return to Lourdes. After dinner you are once again invited to participate in the candlelight procession. Overnight in Lourdes.
Day 8Return USALourdes/USA : Depart for airport this morning for our return flight. Arrive U.S. same day.
